4. Make any applicable Stream settings such as Source and Destination MAC and
IP Addresses, UDP port configuration and/or VLAN/MPLS configuration before
continuing.
It is not necessary to set Frame Length, Rate or Burst Size. These will be set
by the RFC 2544 function.
5. NOTE: Adding VLAN or MPLS tags will change the minimum frame length that
can be used. For example, if a single VLAN tag is selected, the minimum frame
length will be changed from 64 to 68 and the first rate tested in the RFC 2544
test will be 68 bytes long.
6. Enable the On/Off checkbox for the Stream(s) that has just been configured to
being generating packets.
7. Looking at the TX and RX Packets count, confirm that packets are being sent
and received successfully, without any errors.
The TX and RX packet counts may not always be equal while the test Stream is
in On. This is normal, especially if there is any latency. However, after the Stream
is turned Off, then the TX and RX packet counts should match, if no packets were
lost.
8. Uncheck the On/Off checkbox to turn the test Stream(s) off.
