MPM-100AR's Port 1 supports a QSFP+/QSFP28 laser for 40/100G rates, and
an SFP+/SFP28 laser for 10/25G rates. The selected Interface rate determines
which laser module to enable.
MPM-100AR's Port 2 supports a second SFP+/SFP28 laser, for back to back
test of 10/25G rates.
When either Port's Interface rate is changed to a setting that uses the SFP+/SFP28
laser, the other Port's Interface setting will automatically change to same SFP+/SFP28
Interface rate.
When Port 1's Interface rate is changed to a setting that uses the QSFP+/QSFP28
laser, then Port 2's Interface rate defaults to "Not Assigned".
The MPM-100AR card has been designed to fit into any one of MPA's chassis test
module slots.
The MPM-100AR card can be controlled by the GUI or SCPI. Port 1 supports Protocol
Processor tabs for MLD, OTN, SONET/SDH, and PACKET. Port 2 tab supports
Protocol Processor tabs for MLD, OTN, and PACKET.
Pluggable laser modules are hot-swappable, which allows for testing different
Interfaces and wavelengths as needed.
Always verify that the laser module being inserted supports the Interface rate being
selected for test.
When inserting an SFP or QSFP laser module, the laser modules are inserted
upside down where the handles for the release mechanism is oriented underneath the
laser.
