Perf Monitor - LP
(Specifically for SDH testing)
The LP screen provides a detailed breakdown for Lower-Order Path errors detected and
logged by the SDH protocol processor.
In addition to monitoring the errors, you can set allocation percentages and durations
by selecting their respective buttons.
For the ITU Standards option, you can select the G.826/G.828 toggle button in the
lower-right corner of the ITU Standards error window to toggle the statistics between
G.826 and G.828 results.
IMPORTANT: Select the G.826/G.828 button in the lower-right corner of the ITU
Standards window to toggle between G.826 and G.828 statistics. Toggling the Near
LP-BIP Errors output also toggles the Far LP-REI Errors output.
This section is broken down into the following areas:
G.826 and G.828 Near LP-BIP Errors
EB - Errored Block count. Reports an error count of incoming LP-BIP errors.
BBE - Background Block Errors. Reports the number of the incoming LP-BIP
background block errors by count, rate percentage, and objective percentage.
ES - Errored Seconds. Reports the duration of the incoming LP-BIP errored
blocks per seconds, the percentage of errored seconds compared to the duration
of error free seconds, and the objective percentage.
EFS - Error Free Seconds. Reports the duration of the incoming LP-BIP error
free seconds and the percentage of error free seconds compared to the duration
of errored seconds.
SES - Severely Errored Seconds. Reports the duration of Severely Errored
Seconds (SES), rate percentage, and objective percentage on the incoming SDH
signal. An SES is reported when the number of LP-BIP errored blocks per
second equals or exceeds 600 errors per second, or when an Out Of Frame
(OOF) alarm, Loss of Frame (LOF) alarm, Loss of Signal (LOS) alarm, MS-AIS
