Bits 5 through 7 of the V5 byte are allocated for a VT Signal
Label to indicate the content of the VT SPE, including the
status of the VT mapped payload.
The following options are available:
•
00 (Unequipped)
•
01 (Equipped)
•
02 (Asynchronous)
•
03 (Bit Synchronous)
•
04 (Byte Synchronous)
•
(05) ATM
•
06 (O.181 Test Signal Mapping)
•
07 (VC-AIS)
•
User Defined - Any 3-bit value 0h to 7h
This option is only available for VT-1.5, VT-2, and VT-6
mappings.
Allows the user to set the S1 byte to one of the following:
•
00 (Sync Trace Unknown-STU)
•
01 (Stratum 1 Trace-PRS)
•
04 (Transit Node Clock-TNC)
•
07 (Stratum 2 Trace-ST2)
•
0A (Stratum 3 Trace-ST3)
•
0C (SONET Minimum Clk-SMC)
•
0D (Stratum 3E Trace-ST3E)
•
0F (Do Not Use for Sync-DUS)
•
User Defined (any eight bit pattern 0 to FF)
