Start/Stop Test
The following list of tasks demonstrate how to configure and test each of the RFC-
2544 benchmark tests.

RFC Tests - Frame Loss Test
This is an RFC 2544 benchmark test. Its purpose is to determine the number of frames
lost by looping a stream (with a specified frame size) through the network at varying
transmit frame rates. Select
The following options appear on the Frame Loss screen:
Option
Stream ID
Latency Min/Max/Avg - Reports how long it takes for the test
frames to traverse the network and return to the unit. The
values that appear are in milliseconds.
If the test set is looped to itself with a short patch cable, the
latency may appear as 0 ms.
Starts and stops the Through Put test. The button toggles
between Start (when a test is not running) and Stop (when a
test is running).
Frame Loss Testing
Description
Displays the ID number of the stream that will be used for the
RFC test.
The
Stream ID
is configured from the RFC Tests - Conf
screen.
