Protocol Tabs
Test RTD functions include:
ODTU Level: When configured for a Multi-Channel or Multi-Level Add/Drop
mapping, then this setting selects which ODU overhead level to be used for
Round-Trip Delay measurements.
Channel and Multi-Level Add/Drop mappings.
PM/TCM section: Sets the ODU PM and TCM Delay Measurement (DM)
overhead byte to use PM or TCM1 - TCM6, for the selected ODTU level.
Action (State): Starts and stops round-trip delay mode.
Single Round-Trip Delay - If selected, a single DM frame is transmitted
once through your network. The DM frame transmitted through the network
is measured in frame counts and milliseconds. Frame counts indicates the
number of frames received before the DM frame is received by the unit.
Milliseconds indicates how long it took for the DM frame to travel out and
return to the unit.
Continuous Round-Trip Delay - If selected, continuous DM frames are
transmitted through your network. The current frame count and duration
appear in the Current column. The fastest round trip appears in the
Minimum column and the slowest round trip appears in the Maximum
column.
Stop Round-Trip Delay - Stops round-trip delay activity. The State returns
to Inactive.
Round Trip Delay Time (milliSec): Indicates the duration in milliseconds that it
takes for each errored frame transmitted to return back to the unit.
Round Trip Delay Time (Frames): Indicates the number of frames detected
after each errored frame is transmitted and return back to the unit.
The Current column displays the most recent round trip measurement.
The Minimum column displays the fastest round trip measurement.
The Maximum column displays the slowest round trip measurement
OTN Test - SFP Info
