MLD Results - Error / Alarm
The Results Error / Alarm screen contains the following options:
Scan - Select Scan to access a quick summary of incoming errors and alarms on
all MLD optical, physical and virtual lanes. It is effective in identifying a general
area to investigate when error or alarm activity is detected. This function displays
a list of received errors and alarms.
For alarms, the duration is reported as a count in seconds. For errors, an
error count is reported.
When no activity is occurring, the screen displays, "No errors or alarms".
Scan All - Select Scan All to access a quick summary of incoming errors and
alarms on all MLD optical and virtual lanes, as well as any client errors and
alarms on any of the associated OTN, SONET/SDH and Packet tabs.
For alarms, the duration is reported as a count in seconds. For errors, an
error count is reported.
When no activity is occurring, the screen displays, "No errors or alarms".
Alarms - The system can monitor and report alarms and their duration on all of
the MLD optical and physical lanes. Alarms are shown in duration of Seconds.
The following Alarms may or may not be displayed, depending on the alarms
supported by the configure Interface:
CP Power Loss
Paused (# of seconds the test was paused for)
LOA (Loss of Alignment)
FEC LOA (FEC Loss of Alignment) *
High BER (High Block Error Rate)
High SER (High Symbol Error Ratio) *
FEC DegSER (FEC Degraded Symbol Error Ratio)
LOAMPS (Loss of Alignment Marker Payload Sequence)
(for all Optical Lanes)
