Error Type Selects the type of error to transmit into a stream. Selecting one of the
following will not send an error immediately but will only select the type
of error to send when the "Send Error" button is pressed or when a rate
is selected.
The following types are available:

None - Turns Error generation off.
•
Bit Error (Stream #n) - Generates bit errors in the payload for
the specified stream number (at lease one Stream must be
enabled)

Sequence Error (Stream #n) - Generates Sequence errors in
the payload for the specified stream number (at lease one
Stream must be enabled)
•
FCS - Generates an invalid Frame Check Sequence error (at
lease one Stream must be enabled)
•
pFCS - Generates an invalid Payload Frame Check Sequence
error (PFI must be On)
•
sFCS - Generates an invalid Superblock Frame Check Sequence
error (Only supported in GFP Transparent Mode)
•
Corr cHec - Generates a Correctable Core Header Error Control,
which is a CRC-16 error
•
Uncorr cHec - Generates a Uncorrectable Core Header Error
Control, which is a CRC-16 error
•
Corr tHec - Generates a Correctable Type Header Error Control,
which is a CRC-16 error
•
Uncorr tHec - Generates a Uncorrectable Type Header Error
Control, which is a CRC-16 error
•
Corr eHec - Generates a Correctable Extension Header Error
Control, which is a CRC-16 error (EXI must be On)

Uncorr eHec - Generates a Uncorrectable Extension Header
Error Control, which is a CRC-16 error (EXI must be On)
•
IP Checksum - Generates an invalid IP header checksum (at
lease one Stream must be enabled)
•
Runt - Generates a Runt error (Only supported in GFP
Transparent Mode, at lease one Stream must be enabled)
