OTN Transmit - OTN OH / ODU-B
The Transmit Optical Channel Data Unit (ODU) overhead bytes and messages can be
edited using three separate screens on the unit: ODU-A, ODU-B, and TCM.
Use screen B of the ODU overhead to edit the following bytes.

Description
The ODU Trail Trace Identifier (TTI) is a single byte used
for Path Monitoring to identify the 64-byte TTI signal
message.
A single byte used to define the Error Detection Code
signal, which is a Bit Interleaved Parity-8 (BIP-8) code.
The Backward Error Indication (BEI) and Backward
Incoming Alignment Error (BIAE) subfield is a four-bit signal
sent in the upstream direction to indicate that an error has
been detected.
The Backward Defect Indication (BDI) subfield is a single bit
sent in the upstream direction to indicate that a signal fail
status has been detected. This bit is set to 1 to indicate a
BDI.
The Status (STAT) bits are three bits used to indicate the
use of a maintenance signal.
Source Access Point Identifier. The SAPI is the first part of
the multi-frame Trail Trace Identifier (TTI) structure. A 15-
character string can be entered for the SAPI.
Destination Access Point Identifier. The DAPI is part of the
multi-frame TTI structure. A 15-character string can be
entered for the DAPI.
Operator Specific. This is part of the PM TTI structure. A 32-
character string can be entered for this value.
