with a CRC-7 at the end of the message.
User Defined (16 byte): Selects a 16-byte user-
defined ASCII message as the transmitted trace
pattern. The message is entered and saved using a
touch screen keyboard. The user-defined message
can be up to 15 ASCII characters, appended with a
CRC-7 at the end of the message.
All 01's - Selects an All Ones (0x01) hexadecimal
pattern as the transmitted trace pattern. The 0x01 byte
value repeats indefinitely and does not contain CRC-7.
All 00's - Selects an All Zeros (0x00) hexadecimal
pattern as the transmitted trace pattern. The 0x00 byte
value repeats indefinitely and does not contain CRC-7.
User Defined (1 byte): Selects a user-defined
Hexadecimal byte value as the transmitted trace
pattern. The byte value is entered and saved using a
touch screen keypad (from 0x00 to 0xFF). The byte
value repeats indefinitely and does not contain CRC-7.
The J1 trace is part of the HP Overhead and is known as
the Path trace or the J1 byte.
The J2 Trace is a repeating 64-byte, 16-byte or 1-byte
pattern that can be configured to send the system's default
ASCII pattern, a customized user-defined ASCII pattern, or a
1-byte hexadecimal pattern.
The following options are available:
Default (64 byte) - Selects the default 64-byte ASCII
message as the transmitted trace pattern. The
message consists of 62 ASCII characters appended
with CR and LF characters at the end of the message.
User Defined (64 byte) - Selects a 64-byte user-
defined ASCII message as the transmitted trace
pattern. The message is entered and saved using a
touch screen keyboard. The user-defined message
can be up to 62 ASCII characters, appended with CR
and LF characters at the end of the message.
Default (16 byte): Selects the default 16-byte ASCII
message as the transmitted trace pattern. The
message consists of 15 ASCII characters, appended
with a CRC-7 at the end of the message.
