Line - Far End REI Errors
CV - Coding Violations. Reports an error count of the number of B2 errors
detected by the far-end Line Terminating Equipment (LTE). These errors are
reported back to the unit using the M1 byte of the Line overhead. The M1 byte is
also known as the Line Remote Error Indicator - REI-L. (A CV-LFE was formerly
known as a Line FEBE.)
ES - Errored Seconds. This counter reports the number of seconds that an REI-
L alarm is reported
EFS - Error Free Seconds. Reports the duration of the incoming REI-L error
free seconds and the percentage of error free seconds compared to the duration
of errored seconds.
SES - Severely Errored Seconds. Reports the duration of SES on the incoming
SONET signal. An SES is reported when the number of REI-L errors per second
equals or exceed the Line SES Threshold (see table below), or when a Line
Remote Defect Indicator (RDI-L) alarm is present.
UAS - Unavailable Seconds. Reports the number of seconds that the Line layer
was considered unavailable. A Line is considered unavailable when at least 10
consecutive Severely Errored Seconds occur.
