Frame Size
Sets the frame size (packet length) in bytes as a fixed value, or
as a minimum and maximum range based on the Frame Size
Type selected.
The following Frame Size Types are available:
Sets the frame length in bytes. The frame size is
entered as a decimal value, entered using a
keypad, ranging from 60 to 16000. The default
Fixed
value is 128 bytes.
Frame Sizes less than 64 bytes in length are
considered "Undersized" frames.
The frame size of each consecutive packet
transmitted decrements in length by one byte,
Decrement
ranging from the maximum byte size entered to the
minimum byte size entered, in a repeating loop.
The frame size of each consecutive packet
transmitted increments in length by one byte,
Increment
ranging from the minimum byte size entered to the
maximum byte size entered, in a repeating loop.
Each transmitted packet's frame size is a random
Random
value anywhere from the minimum byte size
entered to the maximum byte size entered.
Currently Increment, Decrement and Random frame size
types are only supported on 40G LAN, 100G LAN and 100G RS-
FEC LAN interface rates.
Increment, Decrement and Random types are only
supported on Stream 1.
When Stream 1 is configured for an Increment, Decrement or
Random frame size type, then Streams 2-32, Y.1564, IPv6,
VLAN, MPLS, Burst and Ramp test options are automatically
disabled.
The MPM-10G card does not support Frame Sizes less than
64 bytes.
