HPOH Unequipped Payload. Indicates that a 00h pattern
has been detected in the C2 byte. This byte is being received
from HP terminating equipment. This is an alarm LED.
LPOH Status LED. Indicates if any of the errors or alarms
within this portion of the overhead are being received. This is
a status LED.
This section is only available when C-2, C-12, or C-11 is
mapped.
TU Alarm Indication Signal. Indicates an all-ones
characteristic or adapted information signal was detected on
the TU. It is generated to replace the normal traffic signal
when it contains a defect condition in order to prevent
consequential downstream failures being declared or alarms
being raised. This is an alarm LED.
TU Loss of Pointer. Indicates that an invalid Pointer has
been received or a TU Pointer loss has been detected on the
incoming SDH signal. This is an alarm LED.
TU Pointer Adjustments. Indicates Pointer offsets or
adjustments between the VC payload and the STM-N frame
are occurring. This is a status LED.
TU Loss of Multiframe Alignment. Indicates a Loss of
Multiframe Alignment in the TU. This is an alarm LED.
LPOH Remote Defect Indication. Indicates that a remote
alarm is being received from downstream LP terminating
equipment. The V5 byte of the LPOH is used for this
indicator. This is an alarm LED.
LPOH Remote Failure Indication. Indicates a defect on the
TU has persisted beyond the maximum time allocated to the
transmission system protection mechanisms. When this
occurs, the RFI is sent to the far end and initiates a LP
protection switch. This is an alarm LED.
LPOH Remote Error Indication. Indicates to the transmitting
node that an errored block has been detected at the LP
receiving node. This is an error LED.
LPOH Unequipped Payload. Indicates that an all-zeros
patterns has been detected in the LP Signal Label of the V5
