Sets the insertion rate for the selected error type. This setting is not
Error Insert
available if Error to Insert is set to None.
Rate
The following options are available for this command.
Alarm
Selecting the Alarm Generated button opens the Select Alarm to
Generated
Generate list. The following Alarm types may be available, depending
on the select Interface:

FEC Stress Chan

FEC Stress Chan

FEC Stress Chan

High BER
Off: No errors are inserted for transmission. This command
effectively disables the Error Insert Action button.
1e-X, where X is a value from 3 through 10.
Max, inserts the maximum allowed error rate for the selected
error type. This option may not be available for all error types.
User Defined: Allows the user to enter and save a customized
error insertion rate.
Periodic Bursts: Allows the user to specify the Error Burst Size
and Error Burst Period. Note: Only supported with the FEC
Correctable Symbol Error on Channel A & FEC Correctable
Symbol Error on Channel A error types.
Error Burst Size: Sets the number of errors to transmit
per burst, from 0 to 15.
Error Burst Period: Sets the duration, in milliseconds or
codewords, from the start of each Error Burst to the start
of the next, from 0 to 505290270 codewords.
400GE, 1 codeword equals 256ns.
Description
No alarms are generated.
Generates a FEC Loss of Alignment alarm
Generates a FEC Stress alarm on Channels A &
B
Generates a FEC Stress alarm on Channel A
Generates a FEC Stress alarm on Channel B
