ODTU-jk Add/Drop Mappings
For OTN, the Optical channel Data Tributary Unit j into k (ODUj into OTUk) Add/Drop
Mapping allows multiple lower ODU/OPU mappings to be multiplexed up to, and
demultiplexed out of a higher OTU Interface rate.
For OTU-4, various ODTU-jk mappings are supported allowing up to 80 ODU-0
mappings:
•
ODTU-04 - Allows OTU-4 to be filled with 80 ODU-0's
•
ODTU-14 - Allows OTU-4 to be filled with 40 ODU-1's, and the foreground ODU-
1 is filled with 2 ODU-0's
•
ODTU-24 - Allows OTU-4 to be filled with 10 ODU-2's, and the foreground ODU-
2 is filled with 8 ODU-0's
•
ODTU-34 - Allows OTU-4 to be filled with 2 ODU-3's, and the foreground ODU-3
is filled with 31 ODU-0's
For OTU-3, various ODTU-jk mappings are supported allowing up to 32 ODU-0
mappings:
•
ODTU-03 - Allows OTU-3 to be filled with 32 ODU-0's
•
ODTU-13 - Allows OTU-3 to be filled with 16 ODU-1's, and the foreground ODU-
1 is filled with 2 ODU-0's
