MSOH Alarm Indication Signal. Indicates if an alarm is
being received from upstream MS terminating equipment.
This is an alarm LED.
Automatic Protection Switching. Indicates that the K1 and
K2 bytes on the incoming SDH signal have changed.
MSOH Remote Defect Indication. Indicates that a
downstream defect has occurred along the MS layer. (An RDI
is also known as a Far-End Remote Failure, FERF). This is
an alarm LED.
MSOH BIP-8 Code Violation. Indicates that parity errors
were detected at the MS layer of the incoming SDH signal.
This is calculated over the MSOH, HPOH, and payload of
each STM-n. This is an error LED
HPOH Status LED. Indicates if any of the errors or alarms
within this portion of the overhead are being received. This is
a status LED.
AU Alarm Indication Signal. Indicates if an alarm is being
received from upstream HP terminating equipment. This is an
alarm LED.
HPOH Remote Defect Indication. Indicates that a remote
alarm is being received from downstream HP terminating
equipment. The G1 byte of the HPOH is used for this
indicator. This is an alarm LED.
AU Loss of Pointer. Indicates that an invalid Pointer has
been received or a Pointer loss has been detected on the
incoming SDH signal. This is an alarm LED.
HPOH Remote Error Indication. Indicates that an error
count is being received from downstream HP terminating
equipment. An REI is also known as a Far-End Block Error
(FEBE). This is an error LED.
AU Pointer Adjustments. Indicates Pointer offsets or
adjustments between the payload and the STM-N frame are
occurring. This is a status LED.
HPOH BIP-8 Code Violations. Indicates that parity errors
were detected at the HP layer of the incoming SDH signal.
This is calculated over the HPOH and payload of each STM-
N. This is an error LED.
