Protocol Tabs
In the Multi-Lane table the following columns may or may not be displayed,
depending on the errors/alarms supported by the configure Interface:
Global Buttons
•
Payload - The selected Payload pattern will be applied to all of the lanes. The
Payload pattern selection only applies to Unframed BERT interfaces.
•
Error/ FEC Error- The selected Error type will be inserted on all of the lanes, at
the specified Error rate. Selecting "None" will turn off any Errors that are currently
being inserted on any of the lanes.
•
Alarm/FEC Alarm - The selected Alarm type will be generated on all of the
lanes. Selecting "None" will turn off any Alarms that are currently being inserted
on any of the lanes.
•
Clear Delays - Will disable any Bit Delays currently being generated on any of
the lanes.
•
Lane Map - This menu allows you to choose Rotate or Restore to Defaults
•
When Rotate is selected, you choose the virtual lane number to be
assigned to position 0, and the remaining virtual lanes rotate so that they
sequentially align with the remaining positions.
•
When Restore to Defaults is selected, all of the virtual lanes are re-
assigned to their default lane positions.
Individual Lane Buttons
•
Payload - The selected Payload pattern will be applied to the specified lane. The
Payload pattern selection only applies to Unframed BERT interfaces.

Error- The selected Error type will be inserted on the specified lane, at the
specified Error rate. Selecting "None" will turn off the Errors that are currently
being inserted on the specified lane.
PCS/Ethernet Alarms:

BIT- Inserts BIT errors into the lane's Payload Pattern. (Unframed
BERT interfaces only)
