Tightening torque
Exhaust manifold - cylinder head
Nut
Check that the gasket mating surfaces on the
head and manifold are completely flat. If
necessary, remove any encrustation or
gasket residue.
Replace the gasket (8).
The gasket must be replaced each time it is
removed.
Fit the new gasket (8) on the stud bolts.
Lubricate the stud bolts with copper based
grease COPASLIP for high temperatures.
Replace the eight nuts (5) fastening the right
hand exhaust manifold (A).
Fit the right hand exhaust manifold (A) and
fasten by hand-tightening the eight nuts (5).
Tighten the eight nuts in the sequence indicated
in the figure aside.
