Removing the complete rear suspension
The following procedure is for removing the right hand rear suspension.
The process for removing the left hand rear suspension is identical.
Note that in some of the following images the vehicle is shown with the wheelhouse removed, although
removing this component is not necessary.
Only for vehicles with DCT gearbox. Disable the EPB electric parking brake Autohold function (
Only for vehicles with mechanical gearbox. Disengage the electric parking brake (EPB).
Disconnect the battery (
Remove the wheels (
Remove the rear flat undertray section (

Connect the right steering box tie-rod (A) to the
stub axle.
Fit the relative washer and tighten the nut (1)
fastening the steering box tie rod (A) to the
stub axle.
Pretighten the nut (1).
FROM Assembly No. 98482, there is a recess
on the ball stud to facilitate tightening the
nut (1).
