Configuring the Waiting Time for the Line Connection

Note:
The PBX dials as soon as it detects a dial tone or at the latest after waiting
time for the line connection has elapsed.
Deactivate this setting when the dial tone from the central office is not trans-
mitted cleanly and causes the PBX to not be detected. The PBX then dials
for a line connection after the waiting time has elapsed.
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External analog port (only COMpact 3000 analog)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Expert view (click
– Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the analog connection.
A page opens for configuring the analog connection.
3. Open the page Analogue connection > Expert configuration.
4. Select or clear the Waiting for dial tone check box under Line connection.
Enables waiting for dial tone.
Disables waiting for dial tone.

– Save your settings before you leave the page.
Configuring the Waiting Time for the Line Connection
The waiting time for the line connection indicates how many seconds the PBX should wait
before dialling a telephone number.
