Creating a Fax Box

Fax Box
The fax box receives incoming faxes and saves them as PDF files on the USB memory stick or
on the SD card on the PBX. The maximum length of a fax is 50 pages.
The fax reception speed is a max. of 9.6 kbps (V.29).
Creating a Fax Box
A maximum of six fax boxes can be created. The fax boxes are already present as a part of the
factory settings (telephone numbers 801 to 806). You can change or delete them.
The creation can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– An SD card inserted in the SD card slot or a USB memory stick inserted in the USB port
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page FUNCTIONS > Voice mail/fax boxes > Boxes.
2. If necessary, change one of the telephone numbers displayed in the line of the
corresponding fax box in the Telephone number entry field or enter a new telephone
number in the lowest line of the Telephone number entry field. The following entries
are possible:
Up to 4 digits
Digits
3. Enter the desired name in the Name entry field. This is sent back to the fax header of
the transmitting fax machine. The actual telephone number of the fax machine can be
entered here. The following entries are possible:
Up to 16 digits
Digits and characters
4. If necessary, select the Fax box option in the Type list field.
