Switching Sub-system Operation On/Off

Switching Sub-system Operation On/Off
If sub-system operation is enabled, the COMpact 3000 can be used as a sub-system for the
PBX the VoIP provider has been configured for.
Note: In sub-system operation problems might occur with overlap sending. In
this case you can enable En-bloc dialling.
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click
in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
It opens the page Provider configuration > Provider.
3. Select or clear the Sub-system operation check box.
Enables sub-system operation.
Disables sub-system operation.
Further steps:
– Save your settings before you leave the page.

Configuring a Domain

The domain (also realm, SIP domain or SIP realm) is required for the VoIP address. The VoIP
address of a subscriber is structured similarly to an e-mail address. It is made up of the VoIP
telephone number and the domain, separated by the @ character: <subscriber>@domain.
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
