Configuring the Type of CLIP Information
The CLIP information type indicates whether and how the analog network provider sends the
CLIP information.
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External analog port (only COMpact 3000 analog)
– CLIP service attribute enabled with the network provider (telephone number display)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Expert view (click
– Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the analog connection.
A page opens for configuring the analog connection.
3. Open the page Analogue connection > Expert configuration.
4. In the Type of CLIP information list field under CLIP, select one of the following
options:
no: The network provider sends no CLIP information.
FSK: The network provider sends the CLIP information via frequency shift
keying.
DTMF and DTMF (MaxComm): The network provider sends the CLIP infor-
mation via dual tone multi frequency.

Configuring the CLIP Sub-version
The CLIP sub-version indicates when the analog network provider sends the CLIP information.
The configuration can be made as follows:
