Configuring Sub-admin PINs
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open one of the following pages:
• CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > Analog subscribers
• CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > ISDN subscribers
• CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > VoIP subscribers
2. Enter the sub-admin PIN you want in the PIN entry field for the subscriber in question.
The following entries are possible:
Exactly 6 digits
Digits
Note:
All of the PINs in the PBX are unique. This means that it is not possible to
allocate the same PIN twice.
Do not use dates of birth or dates as PINs. This makes it easy for an attacker
to find out the correct PIN. PINs which are easy to guess, such as 111111
or 123456, should also be avoided.
3. Select the Sub-admin check box for the subscriber in question.
The subscriber in question receives sub-administrator permissions.
Further steps:
– Save your settings before you leave the page.
