Configuring the PBX via an Internal S
Note: For an Auerswald USB device, this refers to the USB, the CAPI-2.0 and
CoNDIS-WAN drivers. To install the drivers, refer to the Instructions for
Installing Drivers and Establishing Internet Access (CAPI/TAPI) that
came with the device.
– The dial-up connection configured on the computer
Note: The following steps describe how to configure the settings on the
operating systems, Windows XP, Vista and 7. If using another operating
system or one with significant differences to the basic settings, refer to the
documentation of your operating system.
1. Click Start.
2. Depending on the operating system, proceed as described in the following.
• Windows XP: Click Connect to and then select the name of the connection.
• Windows Vista: Click Connect to, then select the name of the connection, and
then finally click Connect.
• Windows 7: Click Control Panel, Connect to the Internet, then select the name
of the connection, and then finally click Next.
The connection dialog window now opens.
3. Under Password, enter the PIN for the user name displayed.
4. Click Dial.
The connection symbol (one monitor/two monitors) in the task bar (to the left next to
the time) indicates whether the connection is active.
5. Start a browser (e.g., Mozilla Firefox).
6. Enter http:// and the local IP address of the PBX (factory setting: 192.168.193.240)
in the address field of the browser.
The login window opens.
7. Enter your user name and PIN.
Note: The PIN entered here determines the authorization level for the confi-
guration. The external PIN cannot be used here.
