Factory Settings
The factory settings represent the condition of a device before it is configured using a computer
or telephone.
Restore Factory Settings
If the factory settings on the PBX are restored, all of the settings are deleted or reset to the
original settings before the device was first configured.
Requirements:
– Cover panel is removed
Warning: Touching voltage-carrying conductors or telephone connections
may cause a life-threatening electric shock.
• For some installation and maintenance work, it is necessary to open the
PBX while it is in operation. Close the casing after completing this work.
Warning: Power surges, which can occur during electrical storms, can
cause life-threatening electric shocks
• Do not open the PBX during an electrical storm.
Important: This function requires performing the steps rapidly. Make sure
you are comfortable with the procedure before you begin.
1. Press the "Reset" button.
2. Press the "Default" button within 2 seconds and hold it down between 10 and 15
seconds.
The "Power" LED starts to quickly blink in red.
After a few seconds, the blinking of the "Power" LED will slow down.
After 10 seconds, the "Power" LED flashes.
3. Let go of the "Default" button.
The factory settings are restored and the PBX restarts.
If the "Power" LED lights up in green again, the restart is complete and the PBX is
ready for operation.
