Switching Extended CLIP Information On/Off
If extended CLIP information is enabled, the date and time on CLIP-capable analog telephones
is recorded in conjunction with their caller list. The PBX can make this information available so
that the date and time of previous calls are displayed in the caller list when scrolling. Some
analog telephones can also display CLIP information alpha-numerically. In this case, the PBX
compares the transmitted telephone number with the short-code numbers saved in the PBX. If
an identical telephone number is found, the name saved in the PBX is also displayed in addition
to the telephone number information.
Note: For some end devices, extended CLIP information can cause problems
and should therefore be disabled.
