VoIP
Switching Echo Cancellation On/Off
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click
in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
The Provider configuration opens.
3. Open the page Provider configuration > Network.
4. Enter a value in the Jitter buffer entry field under Quality. The following entries are
possible:
40 to 160: The size of the jitter buffer in milliseconds (duration of the audio
signals).
Lower values: A lower number of RTP packets can be cached in order to buffer
disruptions or to compensate for them.
Greater values: A greater number of RTP packets can be cached in order to
buffer disruptions or to compensate for them.
Further steps:
– Save your settings before you leave the page.
Switching Echo Cancellation On/Off
If echo cancellation is enabled, local echos and Hall effects are compensated.
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
