Analog End Devices
Connecting Analog End Devices Directly to the Internal a/b Port
Note: Only terminal clamps are available for the a/b ports on the optional
COMpact 2a/b module.
Depending on the PBX variant operated, proceed as follows.
• German PBX variant: Insert the square TAE cable connector of the end device into
the TAE socket of the PBX.
• International PBX variant: Insert the RJ-45 connector of the end device into the RJ-
45 socket of the PBX.
Note: The sockets on the PBX are equally suitable for all end devices.
The figure in the following shows the position of the TAE sockets under the cover
panel, as well as the connection set up to an analog telephone.
