Call Distribution
In call distribution, you specify which internal subscribers should be given the signal for an
incoming external call. This means that in call distribution, you specify, e.g., permanently, which
internal telephones should ring when you are called. Call distribution for each telephone
number is configured individually on a connection with multiple external telephone numbers
(e.g., ISDN connection).
You can configure both one telephone for multiple telephone numbers and multiple telephones
for one telephone number to ring.
There is a difference between immediate and delayed signaling. Incoming calls are signaled
after 15 second on a subscriber for which delayed signaling has been configured.
On a COMpact 3000 analog, a fax machine with the fax switch function can be assigned a
special role in call distribution.
Call Distribution Groups
The PBX automatically creates an internal group for each external telephone number entered
(telephone number range 8750 to 8799). This call distribution group differentiates itself from the
line groups in that it cannot be used for internal calls. You only need the telephone number in
the call distribution group if you would like to enable/disable a voice mailbox with an internal
telephone using a character string. For this purpose, the group telephone number on the page
CONFIGURATION > Call Distribution is displayed directly below the corresponding external
telephone number.

Creating Call Distribution

Note:
External telephone numbers that are required as remote switching
numbers (SERVICE > Remote configuration) or Call Through telephone
numbers (FUNCTIONS > Call Through) are not allowed to be used in call
distribution.
In order for a subscriber to signal incoming external calls, it needs at least
Exchange line authorization (business) only incoming, with emergency
call (PROPERTIES > Internal subscribers > Exchange line settings).
