Wake-up Functions
Recording, Saving and Listening to Wake-up Announcements
The saving procedure can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Note: To enable specific wake-up announcements depending on the time of
day, you need to create switching times and assign the configured wake-up
announcements.
Saving the Wake-up Announcement from the PC into the PBX via the Configuration
Manager
It is possible save up to three WAVE files stored on the PC as wake-up announcements in the
PBX. When this is done, the wake-up announcements are automatically named (wake-up
announcement 1 with "good_morning.wav," wake-up announcement 2 with "good_day.wav,"
wake-up announcement 3 with "good_evening.wav").
The WAVE files must have the following properties:
• Format: 16 kHz, 16-bit mono
• Maximum length: approx. 20 seconds
• Size in memory: max. 680 KB
Note: If the WAVE file does not have the required properties you should
convert it before you save it into the PBX. In the Internet you can find
conversion programmes which can be downloaded for free. With the
conversion programme SoX (Sound eXchange), version 14.3.1, for example,
which can be downloaded via SourceForge (http://sox.sourceforge.net/), the
conversion can be made using: sox.exe -V %1 -r 8000 -c 1 -A %1-ITK.wav.
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page FUNCTIONS > Wake-up functions > File and volume.
2. In the File list field, select one of the following options:
Wake-up announcement 1: Selects wake-up announcement 1.
Wake-up announcement 2: Selects wake-up announcement 2.
Wake-up announcement 3: Selects wake-up announcement 3.
