VoIP
Configuring a User Name and Password
Different providers use different names for the user name and password.
The user name can also be called, e.g., username, authorization user, SIP
ID/SIP password, and the password may be called the customer password.
When using the provider T-Online, the VoIP telephone numbers obtained
from the provider must also be entered under User Name and Name
(CONFIGURATION > External numbers > VoIP connection > Telephone
numbers).
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separate for VoIP accounts
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the VoIP connection in question.
A page opens for configuring the VoIP connection.
3. Open the page VoIP connection > Name and settings.
Note: The configuration is also provided during the quick configuration using
the configuration wizard.
4. In the list field at the top, select the account in question by its name.
5. Enter the user name in the User name entry field.
6. Enter the password in the Password entry field.
