Configuring the SIP Transport Protocol

3. Open the page Provider configuration > Network.
4. Select or clear the NAT Keep Alive check box.
Enables NAT Keep Alive.
Disables NAT Keep Alive. (No other action is required.)
5. Enter a value in the Interval entry field under NAT Keep Alive. The following entries
are possible:
1 to 255: NAT Keep Alive packets are sent every 1 to 255 second.

Configuring the SIP Transport Protocol
The SIP transport protocol indicates which protocol is used for the SIP transfer.
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click
in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
The Provider configuration opens.
3. Open the page Provider configuration > Network.
4. Under SIP transport protocol, select one of the following options:
UDP: Selects UDP as the SIP transport protocol.
TCP: Selects TCP as the SIP transport protocol.
