Configuring and Managing the PBX
GSM Gateway
Configuring a Connection for Using a GSM Gateway
Enables the connection for using a GSM gateway.
Disables the connection for using a GSM gateway. (No other action is
required.)
5. Digital GSM gateway: Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers >
ISDN connection > Kind of connection and select the connection type.
6. Open one of the following pages:
• Analog GSM gateway: CONFIGURATION > External numbers > Analog
connection > Telephone numbers
• Digital GSM gateway: CONFIGURATION > External numbers > ISDN
connection > Telephone numbers
7. Enter a freely dialable telephone number:
• Analog GSM gateway: In the Telephone number entry field
• Digital GSM gateway on the point-to-multipoint connection: In the From entry field
under Multiple Subscriber Number (MSN)
• Digital GSM gateway on the point-to-point connection: In the PBX base number
entry field and in the From entry field under Direct dialling in (DDI)
The following entries are possible:
Telephone number: Up to 12 digits
Multiple Subscriber Number (MSN): Up to 12 digits
PBX base number: Up to 20 digits
Direct dialling in (DDI): Up to 4 digits

8. In the Name entry field, enter a name for the telephone number. The following entries
are possible:
Up to 16 digits
Digits and characters
Note: The name is used for display purposes on the system telephone.
Further steps:
– Save your settings before you leave the page.
– In the configuration of the GSM gateway enter the connection type and the telephone
number.
