Switching DiffServ On/Off

Note:
The overview can be opened in the configuration manager by selecting
Status internal VoIP subscribers in the list field next to
clicking
The overview can be printed by clicking Print.

Switching DiffServ On/Off
In order to give voice packets (VoIP) priority and to achieve better speech quality during VoIP
calls, DiffServ can be used. DiffServ can be evaluated in networks by active network compo-
nents such as routers or switches in order to forward the packets according to the priority.
Note: Normally, DiffServ is not supported by VoIP providers. This means that
on the Internet, this setting may not be taken into consideration under certain
circumstances.
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > Settings.
2. Select or clear the DiffServ check box under Quality of Service (QoS).
Enables DiffServ.
Disables DiffServ.
Further steps:
– Save your settings before you leave the page.
