VoIP Account Status Overview
Gray
No STUN server has been entered under Provider configurations > Provider >
STUN server for the VoIP provider (CONFIGURATION > External numbers > VoIP
connection > Name and settings >
Red
Error, e.g., because:
• The STUN server is offline.
• The IP address or URL of the STUN server was entered incorrectly under
Provider configuration > Providers > STUN server for the VoIP provider or a
port allocated by the provider was not provided (CONFIGURATION > External
numbers > VoIP connection > Name and settings >
• The STUN server is sending erroneous responses.
• The STUN server reports that a firewall is blocking the SIP transport protocol or
does not otherwise permit Voice over IP. In this case, Voice over IP can
presumably not be used through the firewall without the proper access.
Registration
Green The REGISTER request sent to the VoIP provider was successful.
Gray
The STUN request failed or the system was restarted. The part must be rechecked
in order to display the current status. Until a response is received, a gray dot
(undetermined) is displayed.
Red
Error, e.g., because:
• The registrar is offline.
Despite this, it can be possible to make outgoing calls if the steps in the STUN
request and Outbound proxy areas were successful. However, since no
telephone book entry was entered with the registrar of the provider, no calls can
arrive over this account (the account is not accessible).
• The domain was entered incorrectly under Provider configuration > Provider >
Servers for the VoIP provider (CONFIGURATION > External numbers > VoIP
connection > Name and settings >
• The account data has been entered incorrectly, e.g., due to a misspelling or the
data has been assigned to the incorrect provider. Here in particular, the user
name, the password and the authorization ID (if provided) should be checked
(CONFIGURATION > External numbers > VoIP connection > Name and
settings).
• The PBX was restarted at shorter intervals than the configured time interval for
registration; see Provider configuration > Provider > Servers (CONFIGU-
RATION > External numbers > VoIP connection > Name and settings >
This leads to multiple registrations that the VoIP provider may block after a while.
Outbound proxy
Green The VoIP provider has responded to the INVITE request in some way.
