VoIP
Configuring the Connection Type for the VoIP Account
A VoIP account can be operated in the following connection types:
• Point-to-multipoint connection: A VoIP account that supports up to ten whole VoIP
telephone numbers (multiple subscriber numbers (MSNs)).
• Point-to-point connection: A VoIP account that supports a PBX base number (serial,
head, basis number) and up to ten extension numbers (DDIs).
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP accounts
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Expert view (click
– Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the VoIP connection in question.
A page opens for configuring the VoIP connection.
3. Open the page VoIP connection > Kind of connection.
Note: The configuration is also offered in the configuration wizard during
quick setup.
4. In the list field at the top, select the account in question by its name.
5. Select one of the following options:
PTMP connection: VoIP account with multiple subscriber numbers (MSNs)
PTP connection: VoIP account with a PBX base number and extension
numbers (DDIs)
