Configuring the SIP Port
Configuring the SIP Port
The SIP Port is a port on the local system that is used as a starting point for the SIP transfer.
Configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click
in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
The Provider configuration opens.
3. Open the page Provider configuration > Network.
4. Enter the SIP port in the SIP port entry field under SIP. The following entries are
possible:
1 to 65535
Note: There must be a different SIP port entered for each VoIP provider
configured.

Configuring the SIP Session Timer
The PBX cannot detect whether a call connection is disrupted due to problems on the provider
side. The SIP session timer regularly checks whether the connection still exists.
