Configuring Maximum Hold Time before Establishing Audio Connection
The hold time until the audio connection is established indicates how many seconds the PBX
will wait at most for connection information transmitted from the central office. If after this time
has elapsed and neither a busy signal, nor a continuous tone nor a polarity reversal of the line
is detected, the PBX establishes the connection.
If the PBX detects a call tone and then a voice before the waiting time has elapsed, it also
establishes the connection.
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External analog port (only COMpact 3000 analog)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Expert view (click
– Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the analog connection.
A page opens for configuring the analog connection.
3. Open the page Analogue connection > Expert configuration.
4. In the Max. hold time until audio connection established entry field under Start of
call (outgoing calls), enter a value. The following entries are possible:
0 to 30: The PBX automatically establishes the connection after 0 to 30
seconds.

Switching Busy Tone Detection (Incoming) for End of Call On/Off

If busy tone detection is enabled, one of the busy tones transmitted from the central office is
detected by the PBX.
