Room Monitoring
Carrying out Room Monitoring
Monitoring a Room via an Internal Telephone
Requirements:
– Room monitoring enabled
1. Pick up the receiver of the internal telephone with which you would like to carry out
room monitoring.
2. Enter the telephone number of the telephone configured for room monitoring. The
following entries are possible:
** and internal telephone number of the individual telephone (If you do not
use a direct exchange line access, omit the **.)
The connection is immediately established. You can hear into the room.
Monitoring a Room via an External Telephone
Requirements:
– More than one external phone number (only COMpact 3000 ISDN or COMpact ISDN module
available as an option)
– Room monitoring enabled
– A configured remote switching number and external PIN
– Analog DTMF telephone, ISDN telephone with DTMF signaling or DTMF generator
1. Pick up the receiver of the external telephone with which you would like to carry out
room monitoring.
2. Enter the remote switching number.
You will hear the external confirmation tone (1 second).
3. Dial ##8.
4. Enter the external PIN.
5. Dial *60#.
You will hear the external confirmation tone (1 second).
Note: If you wait too long before entering the characters or enter an invalid
character string, you will hear the busy tone. In this case, hang up the receiver
and start over.
The connection is established. You can hear into the room.
