Configuring User PINs

Configuring User PINs
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open one of the following pages:
• CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > Analog subscribers
• CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > ISDN subscribers
• CONFIGURATION > Internal numbers > VoIP subscribers
2. Enter the PIN you want in the PIN entry field for the subscriber in question. The
following entries are possible:
Exactly 6 digits
Digits
Note:
All of the PINs in the PBX are unique. This means that it is not possible to
allocate the same PIN twice.
Do not use dates of birth or dates as PINs. This makes it easy for an attacker
to find out the correct PIN. PINs which are easy to guess, such as 111111
or 123456, should also be avoided.

Configuring Sub-admin PINs

The sub-admin PIN corresponds to the user PIN for the corresponding sub-administrator. A
maximum of four sub-admin PIN can be configured.
