Options for Outgoing Calls

Outgoing Calls
Outgoing calls are calls that you have initiated yourself.
Options for Outgoing Calls
An outgoing call can be initiated in two ways:
Initiating an Internal Call
If you wish to call an internal subscriber, you can initiate an internal call. Internal calls are free
of charge. If you use a direct exchange line access, dial ** before dialling the telephone number.
Initiating an External Call
If you wish to call an external subscriber, you can initiate an external call. If you do not use a
direct exchange line access, dial the exchange line access number before dialling the
telephone number.
Initiating External Calls with Number Presentation Suppression
If you want to prevent your next communication partner from seeing your telephone number on
his telephone display, you can suppress the telephone number display to your communication
partner.
Dialling a Telephone Number on Direct Exchange Line Access
If your telephone has been configured as a direct exchange access point, you will hear an
external dial tone directly after picking up the receiver. The manner in which an outgoing call is
initiated is different than the manner in which a normal call is initiated, as described previously.
