Plugging in the Module

Plugging in the Module
Caution: Plugging the modules while the PBX is connected to the mains
may damage the PBX or the modules.
• Remove the PBX power plug and the accessory power plug from the
power socket and wait ten seconds before inserting or removing modules.
Caution: Electrostatic charges can destroy sensitive components.
• Divert electrostatic charges from yourself before touching the electronic
components with your hands or any tools. To do this, touch a metal object,
preferably earthed, e. g. a heater or computer housing.
Requirements:
– Cover panel is removed
– Optionally available COMpact S
1. Insert the module between the two circuit board guides.
2. Press the module downwards and vertically towards the basic unit.
The figure in the following shows the position of the module slot under the cover
panel, as well as the plug-in connection of the module.
