Configuring CLIP Texts
CLIP Texts
CLIP texts are displayed on the system telephones and/or the CLIP-capable analog telephones
for specific calls (e.g., for wake-up calls).
Configuring CLIP Texts
CLIP texts can configured for the following calls and functions:
• Callbacks: The configured CLIP text is displayed on analog telephones during a callback
(on busy or on no reply).
• CCBS callbacks: The configured CLIP text is displayed on system telephones during a
callback on busy.
• CCNR callbacks: The configured CLIP text is displayed on system telephones during a
callback on no reply.
• Wake-up calls: The configured CLIP text is displayed on analog telephones during a wake-
up call.
• Exchange line reservation: The configured CLIP text is displayed on analog telephones
during a call to signal that a line that was previously busy has become available.
• TAPI: The configured CLIP text is displayed on analog telephones during a call that signals
the LAN-TAPI function.
The configuration can be made as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– A COMfortel 1100/1500/2500/2500 AB/VoIP 2500 AB system telephone or an analog
telephone with CLIP information alpha-numerically
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Expert view (click
– CLIP info enabled for analog subscribers
– Telephone number display (CLIP): CLIP info and Extended CLIP info enabled for the
subscriber
