High pressure pump: Removal - Refitting

a
WARNING
T o prevent impurities from entering the circuit,
place protective plugs on all fuel circuit compo-
nents exposed to the open air.
a Disconnect the quick-release unions (4) from the
fuel supply pipes on the high pressure pump.

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the high pressure pump bolts (5) ,
- the high pressure pump,
- the high pressure pump O-ring.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Always replace:
- the high pressure pump O-ring,
- the high pressure pump bolts,
- the intercooler air inlet pipe seal.
If replacing the high pressure pump
a Secure the high pressure pump pinion in a vice's
protective jaws.
a Remove:
- the high pressure pump pinion nut,
- the pinion from the vice.
