Diesel injector fuel return rail: Removal - Refitting

a Remove:
- the bolt (11) of the injector fuel return rail,
- the injector fuel return rail.
a Fit blanking plugs onto the injectors.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a
WARNING
Do not remove the blanking plugs from each
component until the last moment.
Also, do not remove the components from their
packaging until they are to be fitted to the vehi-
cle.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the blanking plugs.
a Refit the injector fuel return rail.
a Clip on the injector fuel return rail unions.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Fit the back row injector rail protector.

a Connect the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve outlet hose.
a Fit the clip of the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve outlet hose using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve cooling hose.
a Fit the clip of the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve cooling hose using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Refit the cover of the back row injector rail protector.
a Clip on the cover of the back row injector rail protec-
tor.
a Clip:
- the wiring of the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid
valve,
- the cooling hose.
a Refit:
- the high pressure pipe between injector 1 and the
injector rail (see 13B, Diesel injection, High pres-
sure pipe between rail and injector: Removal -
Refitting, page 13B-161) ,
- the front row injector rail protector (see 13B, Diesel
injection, Injector rail protector: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 13B-126) ,
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Fill and bleed the cooling system (see 19A, Cool-
ing, Cooling system: Draining - Refilling, page
19A-16) .
a Refit:
- the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting) (55A, Exterior protection),
- the front wheel arch liners (see Front wheel arch
liner: Removal - Refitting) (55A, Exterior protec-
tion),
- the front wheels (see Wheel: Removal - Refitting)
(35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the engine undertray.
a Switch on the forced + after ignition feed.
a Connect the Diagnostic tool.
a In the Diagnostic tool :
- select the repair mode,
- select the programming mode,
- select command SC 035: HIGH PRESSURE FUEL
CIRCUIT FAULT FINDING.
