Diesel return pipe: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Clean the fuel return pipe unions (see 13B, Diesel
injection, Diesel injection: Precautions for the
repair, page 13B-1) .
a Disconnect the fuel return pipe union (2) on the die-
sel injector fuel return rail.
a Fit a blanking plug on the fuel return pipe union on
the diesel injector fuel return rail.
a Disconnect the fuel return pipe union (3) from the in-
jector rail.
a Fit a blanking plug on the fuel return pipe union on
the front row injector rail.
a Disconnect the fuel return pipe union (4) from the
high pressure pump.
a Fit a blanking plug on the fuel return pipe union on
the high pressure pump.
a Disconnect the fuel return pipe union (5) .
a Fit a blanking plug on the fuel return pipe union.
a Unclip:
- the fuel return pipe from its support,
- the fuel return pipe from the fuel supply pipe.
a Remove the fuel return pipe.

REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a
WARNING
Do not remove the blanking plugs from each
component until the last moment.
Also, do not remove the components from their
packaging until they are to be fitted to the vehi-
cle.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the fuel return pipe.
a Clip:
- the fuel return pipe on the fuel supply pipe,
- the fuel return pipe on its support.
a Remove the blanking plug from the fuel return pipe
union.
a Connect the fuel return pipe union.
a Remove the blanking plug from the fuel return pipe
union of the high pressure pump.
a Connect the fuel return pipe union on the high pres-
sure pump.
a Remove the blanking plug from the fuel return pipe
union of the injector rail.
a Connect the fuel return pipe union on the injector
rail.
a Remove the blanking plug from the fuel return pipe
union of the diesel injector fuel return rail.
a Connect the fuel return pipe union on the diesel in-
jector fuel return rail.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Switch on the forced + after ignition feed.
a Connect the Diagnostic tool.
a In the Diagnostic tool :
- select the repair mode,
- select the programming mode,
- select command SC 035: HIGH PRESSURE FUEL
CIRCUIT FAULT FINDING.
