High pressure pump: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the alternator bolt (2) .
a Loosen the alternator bolt (3) .
a Tilt the alternator slightly towards the front of the ve-
hicle.
a Remove:
- the inner timing cover bolts (4) ,
- the inner timing cover.

a Disconnect the fuel supply pipe union (5) from the
high pressure pump.
a Fit a suitable blanking plug on the opening of:
- the fuel supply pipe union,
- the high pressure pump.
a Disconnect the diesel injector return rail union (6) on
the high pressure pump.
a Fit a suitable blanking plug on the opening of:
- the diesel injector fuel return rail union,
- the high pressure pump.
