Diesel injector fuel return rail: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 780
a Clip the unions of the diesel injector fuel return rail
onto the opening of each diesel injector, starting with
injector number 4.
Note:
Check that the diesel injector fuel return unions
are correctly clipped on.
a Connect:
- the diesel injector fuel return rail union on the high
pressure pump,
- the fuel temperature sensor connector.
a Clip the diesel injector return rail on the rocker cover.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the dipstick well,
- the dipstick,
- the injector rail protector cover,
a Clip on the injector rail protector cover.
a Fit:
- the intercooler air inlet pipe,
- the clip on the intercooler inlet air pipe in its original
position.
a Clip the intercooler air inlet pipe on the turbocharger.
a Refit:
- the nut on the intercooler air inlet pipe,
- the bolt on the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Clip the electrical wiring to the injector rail protector
cover.
a Connect:
- the camshaft position sensor connector,
- the damper valve connector,
- the intercooler air outlet pipe on the damper valve.
a Tighten the clip on the intercooler outlet pipe.
a Refit the engine cover.
a Check the high pressure circuit sealing (see 13B,
Diesel injection, High pressure pipe: Check,
page 13B-134) .
