Maintenance-Object Repair Procedures
DAJ1 Local Loop Test
NOTE:
This test can only be run on demand on the standby media server and only if
it is busied out.
This test runs a local loop-around test on the DAJ1 board on the standby media
server. A 32-bit data number is written to an address and checked to see if the
data was transmitted correctly. It reads the contents of the last data received
registers, the last address and received register, then compares the data. If the
data matches the test passes, if not the test fails. The following errors can be
detected:

Description / Recommendation
The MDD is the system driver that communicates with the DAJ1 board.
If the driver cannot be opened, then the DAJ1 board's registers cannot
be read.
This is a system type error, try again.
The test ran, but, for some reason the MDD could not return data.
This is a system type error, try again.
The following reasons this test can FAIL will be displayed if the test is
being run on demand:
"Loop-around test failed": Either, last address received does not match
the address that was written or last data received does not match the
data that was written.
